£110 raised by n-ergy’s regional manager (Wales) in aid of Tenovus Cancer Care!

On Sunday, 28th May, our Wales Regional Manager, Chris Simmons, took part in The Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival Half Marathon (13 miles) in aid of Tenovus Cancer Care, which is n-ergy’s regional chosen charity of the year in Wales.

Over the last few years, Chris has built a reputation within n-ergy for raising monies for a number of charities through entering several running events; therefore, we were all delighted when Chris announced he had registered to run in the half-marathon distance at this event to raise money for Tenovus Cancer Care.

Incorporated into the Royal Welsh Spring Festival, the Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival which is held annually offers a series of challenging but scenic trail races in the heart of mid-Wales. The trail course starts and finishes in the Royal Welsh Showground Builth Wells and take in valleys, fields, woodland tracks and stunning forestry.

Chris said, “The course was alot tougher and muddier than anticipated but the morning kept dry, everything went well and the countryside views along the route were amazing!

Even though the trail course had been quite challenging, I was really pleased with my time and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who sponsored me!”

Chris completed the event in 2 hours and 48 minutes and has raised a total of £110. Well done Chris!
