We are absolutely delighted to announce that n-ergy has won HMP Highpoint’s Amends “Community Partner” People Award for December 2019 and January 2020.
Our Chief Executive, Donna Turner-Kot was presented with the award certificate at the Celebration event held at the prison’s South Chapel earlier this week.
[ezcol_2third]Donna said, “I am very proud that n-ergy has received this nomination. We are excited about our new partnership with HMP Highpoint and working with Nigel, Steve, Lisa, Nicki and Warren.
Sincere thanks to everyone involved, especially our dedicated team of training advisors based at this prison, Ty, Pete, Andy Potter and Andy Taplin, who represent us in such a positive, professional and proactive way.”[/ezcol_2third] [ezcol_1third_end][/ezcol_1third_end]Here is Donna with Nigel Smith – Governor (to the right of the photo), Steve Phillips – Head of Reducing Reoffending and Lisa Haworth – Business and Community Engagement Manager (to the left of the photo) and our Training Advisors who deliver at this prison, Peter Kearney, Tyrone Priestman, Andy Potter and Andy Taplin.
Donna continues,
“We strive to exceed client expectations with all our partners but in light of the fact that our delivery only commenced a couple of months ago, the feedback n-ergy has received to date has been brilliant!
Here are two of the statements used to describe n-ergy’s service at HMP Highpoint.
‘Though n-ergy have only been at Highpoint for few weeks, it feels as if they have been here for years; they just get on with the job’.
‘In the few weeks they have been with us, they have engaged with 72 learners’.
Donna continues:
“We work creatively with our partners to lead the way and provide innovative training opportunities for individuals in custody. Opportunities that will not only best equip our learners with the required skills to find sustainable employment on release but to in still a real sense of self-worth and equality when they re-join the job market.
We recognise that for individuals in custody to have the best chance to be a good citizen and successfully reintegrate back into society, they will need the motivation, skills and confidence to help them lead a better life on release and break the re-offending cycle.”
